2026–2027 changes
The zero-emission-vehicle fee rises $10 each year: $280 in 2027, $290 in 2028.

Zero-emission-vehicle-only fee, effective July 1, 2024 ($250), rising $10 per year ($260 in 2025, $270 in 2026). PHEVs are excluded. New registrations must prepay four years up front (about $1,060).
